英語の会議や打ち合わせで求められることは「会議への貢献」と、よく言われます。そして、その貢献とは、決して、新しいアイディアや人と違った意見を言うことばかりではありません。
誰かのアイディア、意見、そして、発言に対して、賛意を表明すること（賛成すること）も、その仕方によっては素晴らしい貢献に成りえます。

賛成の効果
なぜなら、「賛成」を声に出して表明することには、以下の効果があるからです。
– 提案に対する後押し
– 提案者への励ましや、リスペクトを示すこと
– 出た案に対して、更なる意見を重ねていく雰囲気を作り、より建設的なミーティング作りに貢献すること
賛成の形（カタチ）
単に、I agreeや、I think so, too. とか Me too.と言うだけでは、残念ながら「貢献」とは受け取られないでしょうし、もしかすると、決には参加したものの、「発言」とも受け取られないかもしれません。
なぜなら、これらには、「どのように考え」、「どの程度」、「なぜ」賛成なのかが欠落していて、前述の3つの効果の、どの効果も出せていない形になってしまっているからです。
逆の言い方をすると、「どのように考え」、「どの程度」、「なぜ」と言った要素を含めていけば、それはもちろん「発言」ですし、立派に会議に「貢献」できるはずです。
賛成の度合い
また、賛成とひと言で言っても、「100％賛成！」という場合から、普通に「賛成」したい、ほぼ賛成だけど付け加えたい事や前提条件があったり、反対の部分が残っていたりということがあるでしょう。
