30年ぶりに30,000円台を回復した日経平均株価について（2021年3月）です。

コロナ禍による経済の悪化を防ぐため、世界中の中央銀行が金融緩和に動いていますが、その中でも日本銀行は、巨額の資金をETF と呼ばれる、株価などの指数に連動するように運用される投資信託へ投資している珍しい存在のようです。

海外市場との比較で、2019 年の終値と現在の株価を見ると、日経平均株価の上昇率はニューヨークや上海よりも高くなっています。ただし、実体経済を反映しているとは見えない部分もあり、例えば、失業者数は11年ぶりに191 万人にまで増加し、株価が押し上げられても、それによって利益を得る人は限られている、という指摘もあります。株価と経済について話し合ってみましょう。

～の部分に、this report などを入れて、報告書を元に現状を説明する時などに使える表現です。

理由の根拠について述べる際に使えます。

I had not noticed that this had happened.　これが起こっていることに気付かなかった。

It is hard to keep track of these things. これらの事柄をずっと追いかけるのは難しい。
残念ながら、物事の動向に気付けていなかった場合の表現です。

It is a sign that not all is abysmal.　すべてが非常に悪いという訳ではないという兆候。
Abysmalは、「深いふちの、奈落(ならく)の、底の知れない、ひどく悪い」といった意味の言葉です。

for an extended period　長期に渡って。
逆に、「短い間」という場合は、for a short time や、for a limited period of time と表現できます。

That seems to have a good impact in turning things around.　 これは物事を好転させるのに良い効果を出しているようです。
turning things aroundは「物事を好転させる」という意味です。文章まるごと、そのまま仕事で使えるフレーズです。

Feel という動詞を使うことで、確信を持っている訳ではないが、感じているというニュアンスが伝わってきます。。

今までの前例から何かを語る際に、experienced よりも客観的に言いたいときは、witnessedが便利です。
