  sometimes if we just do something different we feel like we have had a holiday!

  もう一つのイディオムは、red tape

  講師は、こんな風に説明しています。

  – ‘red tape’ refers to the complexity of getting something done officially
  because there are so many steps and people involved in the process, it is also known as ‘officialdom’

  辞書によれば、かつてイングランドで公文書を赤い紐で結んでいたのが由来のようです。
  どこの国でも、昔から、手続き事には時間がかかっていたようですね。
